House shopping, part II

I met up with Kenneth again today in town to go to the real estate agency.
Our real estate agent, which happens to be Kenneth's mothers friend, advised us to come by and make an offer on the house. She said that there were 2 people who looked at the house yesterday and at least 3 scheduled for today. The best option would be to make an offer in hopes that the seller would accept the offer, which would put us in a contract with the seller. After the contract was in place, no other couples would be able to submit offers on the house until our financing was complete. The contract, also, would be dependent upon an appraisal and a home inspection coming back good, which we expect due to the vast amount of repairs that have already been done.. as well as Kenneth's financing to come back good, which it is also expected because the financer has already 'phoned in' his credit, etc. to see what kinda of problems we might run into. He is required to mail a novels-worth of paperwork, which Kenneth and I went for Kenneth to sign today, to the agency or wherever it goes.
If his financing comes back ok, then we will be getting an appraisal/home inspection and then if that goes ok, then we will be expected to be in the house in at least 1 month from yesterday, says the real estate agent.
Anyway, Vanessa (the agent) has been very helpful and has gone well above what we expected her to do. I'm glad there are people out there like that. She even told us before leaving today to just pray about it.. if it is God's will, then we will get his house, and then if not, then it was not God's will.
Well, more on this later, you can be sure... as for now, it's time to watch some CSI and look for some engagement picture poses because we are having our pics done on Sunday.
