Our weekend in review

Kenneth was at school this past week and then as soon as he got back in town he had to make a few errands to offices about the house we are trying to buy and then he went home to pack and re-pack and then we were off to his dad, Bo and his step-mom, Charlotte's house in Mississippi. We had plans of getting there Friday afternoon and just chilling.. and then getting up Saturday to help his dad build the arch for our wedding before the Alabama game came on. Sunday, we would stay awhile and then head home for him to get some rest before heading back to work on Monday.
When we actually got there, we sat out under the carport and chatted with Charlotte for awhile because Kenneth's dad wasn't going to make it home until later than planned from work(he is a truck driver). We went to grab some chicken (and wings for Kenneth) from Abner's. It was wonderful! We came back home and watched a little bit of TV and the next thing I know Kenneth was snoring.. then the next thing was Kenneth waking me up and telling me that he was ready to go to bed. Charlotte stayed up until Bo got home, which was around 3 something that morning.
On Saturday, Kenneth was not happy to be awakened at 7:00 by bright-eyed, wide-awake Emily who can no longer sleep late even if she tries. So, needless to say, we were up very early and we waited for everyone else to get up. After breakfast, we all had to get up and take a shower before we could go get the stuff to build the arch with at Lowe's. But, we ended up going, walking all over the store to find all the stuff we needed, going by Charlotte's brother's house to get a tool they needed, and then finally getting back well after kick-off of the Alabama-Kentucky game. By that point, we all knew that building an arch would not take place. We watched the game and then decided to cook some food out on the grill that night for dinner. It was a fun, fun time.
Sunday, we got up, once again bright and early (thanks to my natural alarm clock) and then we waited until after breakfast time.. which ended up being about 10:30 or 11ish before they started building the arch. They assembled.. Charlotte and I painted the pieces.. and then we waited for them to dry before they could finish the arch. We also realized that we needed to make some corrections and that it was going to take a whole lot longer than what they had originally planned (we should have known). I took a shower at around 5ish and when I got out, they had stopped for the day and decided that Bo would finish it when the next weekend and they would bring it with them when they came up for my Bridal Shower.
All-in-all we had a good time and I got a treadmill out of it because Charlotte said she was never going to use it again and that it was still in pretty good shape. She said that if I didn't take it she was going to sit it at the end of their drive in hopes that someone else woudl come by and take it home with them. So, needless to say, it is on the porch behind our house just hoping that we get a house to put it in soon.
